Under the auspice of their Excellencies Ministers of Military Production/ General, Dr. Eng. Mahmoud El-assar and of Higher Education Dr. Asharf El-shehy, ASRT represented by its president Prof. Mahmoud Saker and the president of The National Authority of Military Production, Eng. Hassan Ahmed Abdel-Mageed have signed Cooperation Protocol on Transferring Technology Knowledge, Inventions and Innovations to manufacture and Commercialization stage. The Protocol was signed on Wednesday, 18th Jan., 2017.
The Protocol aims at promoting national industries and produces high quality goods and products based on technical knowledge results from applied research projects, as way to decrease imports and increase exports.
The Cooperation Protocol builds a bridge between scientific research and industry. The government aims at maximizes the benefits from conducted researches to reach high tech products labeled "made in Egypt" through directly linking research institutes and universities research centers with industrial agencies.
The Cooperation Protocol tends to finance initiatives and applied research projects as a way to establish vertical technology transfer to prioritize products to be manufactured and assembled based on feasibility studies. Industrial agencies will be responsible for manufacturing prototypes as an initial step to enter the stage of mass production and conduct R&D to continuously improve the national products.
